1.17m vaccine jabs administered

About 1,173,100 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 773,900 people receiving their first dose and about 399,200 people getting their second dose.

 

Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 389,100 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 384,900 people have received the BioNTech one.

 

For the second dose, about 250,000 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 149,200 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.

 

About 3,900 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.

 

Among them, about 1,800 people received the jab at community vaccination centres (CVCs), while about 2,100 were inoculated at private doctors and clinics participating in the programme.

 

Around 8,100 people received their second dose of the Sinovac vaccine today, including about 5,800 people vaccinated at CVCs and about 2,300 people through private doctors and clinics.

 

For the BioNTech vaccine, about 11,300 people received their first dose at CVCs and about 200 people received their second dose.

 

The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at CVCs is 96%, while that of the BioNTech vaccine at CVCs is about 95%.

 

As of 8pm, about 2,800 people had booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 11,800 had reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.

 

As of midnight, seven people were sent to hospital.
