1m vaccine doses administered

About 1,017,600 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 671,700 people receiving their first dose and about 345,900 people getting their second dose.

 

Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 368,000 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 303,700 people have received the BioNTech one.

 

For the second dose, about 200,600 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 145,300 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.

 

About 4,500 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.

 

Among them, about 2,100 people received the jab at eight community vaccination centres (CVCs), while about 2,400 were inoculated at private doctors and clinics participating in the programme.

 

Around 11,900 people received their second dose of the Sinovac vaccine today, including about 8,000 people vaccinated at CVCs and about 3,900 people through private doctors and clinics.

 

For the BioNTech vaccine, about 18,200 people received their first dose at 21 CVCs and about 1,900 people received their second dose.

 

The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at eight CVCs is 98%, while that of the BioNTech vaccine at 21 CVCs is about 96%.

 

As of 8pm, about 4,700 people had booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 21,800 had reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech one.

 

As of midnight, five people were sent to hospital.
