Staff register the details of people in the Tsuen Wan restricted area and arrange COVID-19 tests for them.

The Government announced that the compulsory testing exercise for the restricted area in Tsuen Wan finished today with no confirmed COVID-19 cases found.

It exercised the power under the Prevention & Control of Disease (Compulsory Testing for Certain Persons) Regulation on April 13 to make a restriction-testing declaration to require people within the specified restricted area at Tower 2 of Lido Garden to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing.

The Government also issued a compulsory testing notice to those who had been at the building for more than two hours from March 31 to April 13 to undergo compulsory testing by April 15 even if they were not at the building when the declaration took effect.

About 780 residents were tested.

Meanwhile, the Government assigned staff to visit about 280 households and around 30 households did not answer the door. Follow-up measures will be taken.

Additionally, six people were found to have not undergone compulsory testing during the enforcement operation.
