Chief Executive Carrie Lam said she expects an early indication on the air travel bubble agreement with the Singaporean government.

Ahead of today’s Executive Council meeting, Mrs Lam said both sides are revisiting the air travel bubble plan.

She said: “We actually had a very concrete scheme, the Hong Kong-Singapore Air Travel Bubble, in place before the fourth wave hit us.

“So what we need to do is to dig out that plan to revisit that plan. For example, in October-November, when we had that plan with Singapore, there was no reference whatsoever to vaccination.

“I expect an early indication of agreement between the two sides so that we can tell the people of Hong Kong that it’s time to travel to Singapore again.”
