659k vaccine doses given

About 659,600 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 516,000 people receiving their first dose and about 143,600 people getting their second dose.

 

Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 336,200 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 179,800 people have received the BioNTech one.

 

For the second dose, about 104,100 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 39,500 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.

 

About 3,100 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.

 

Among them, about 1,800 people received the jab at eight community vaccination centres (CVCs), while about 1,300 were inoculated at private doctors and clinics participating in the programme.

 

Around 14,700 people received their second dose of the Sinovac vaccine today, including about 7,700 people vaccinated at CVCs and about 7,000 people through private doctors and clinics.

 

For the BioNTech vaccine, about 10,200 people received their first dose at 21 CVCs and about 15,600 people received their second dose.

 

The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at eight CVCs is 97%, while that of the BioNTech vaccine at 21 CVCs is about 98%.

 

As of 8pm, about 3,000 people had reserved their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 15,600 had reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech vaccine.

 

As of midnight, eight people were sent to hospital.
