​The second batch of about one million doses of the Sinovac vaccine was delivered smoothly to Hong Kong from Beijing today.

Soon after the arrival of the vaccines this afternoon, staff checked and inspected them to ensure that they comply with the product specifications and that the transportation process followed the cold-chain requirements.

Together with the one million doses delivered to the city in February, about two million doses of the Sinovac vaccine have arrived in Hong Kong.

The Government urged members of the public to participate in the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme as early as possible to safeguard public health in the community.

People in the vaccination priority groups may make appointments online to receive the Sinovac vaccine for free at community vaccination centres and the Hospital Authority’s general outpatient clinics.

They can also make an appointment directly with a private doctor or clinic under the programme, without going through the Government's online booking system.

Participants need to bring their identity document and proof of belonging to a priority group to their vaccination appointment.
