The Registration & Electoral Office (REO) today announced that a clerical officer working at its Kowloon Bay office has tested positive for COVID-19.

The patient works at the REO office on 13/F, Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre, and is responsible for voter registration back-end support. His office is not open to members of the public.

He last performed duties on February 22. He wore a surgical mask and his body temperature was normal when undergoing screening at work.

The REO office on 13/F has been closed this afternoon for thorough cleaning and disinfection.

The enquiry counter and the Electoral Information Centre on the same floor will suspend service, while the REO’s telephone enquiry service will only operate on a limited scale until further notice.
