2 COVID-19 deaths recorded

The Hospital Authority today said two COVID-19 patients have passed away, taking the number of COVID-19 patients who died in public hospitals to 189.
One of the patients, an 82-year-old woman with chronic diseases, was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital on January 20 due to dizziness, chest discomfort and a sore throat. She then tested positive for COVID-19.
Her condition continued to deteriorate and she passed away this morning.
Another patient, an 81-year-old woman also with chronic diseases, was admitted to Caritas Medical Centre on January 31 with upper respiratory tract infection symptoms and a fever.
She later tested positive for COVID-19. Her condition continued to deteriorate and she died this evening.
