HK reports 70 COVID-19 cases

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating 70 additional COVID-19 cases, of which 63 are locally transmitted.

 

Among the local cases, 16 have unknown sources of infection.

 

The centre reported that 31 of the newly infected patients live in Yau Tsim Mong District, including 14 residents of the specified area in Yau Ma Tei to Jordan.

 

Meanwhile, ten more buildings are now covered by compulsory testing notices.

 

Seven of them are inside the specified area in Yau Ma Tei and Jordan. The remaining three are Tak Yam House at On Yam Estate in Kwai Chung, Laguna City Block 5 in Lam Tin and Charming Garden Block 2 in Yau Tsim Mong.

 

The Government will set up mobile specimen collection stations at Sai Tso Wan Neighbourhood Community Centre in Kwun Tong and Yiu Yam House of On Yam Estate in Kwai Chung on January 22.

 

It will also extend the service period of the mobile specimen collection stations at Maple Street Playground and Kwun Chung Sports Centre, as well as the mobile specimen collection vehicles at the section of Canton Road between Jordan Road and Saigon Street to January 24.

 

The service period of mobile specimen collection stations at Wong Chuk Hang Sports Centre, Wong Tai Sin Square, Sha Tsui Road in Tsuen Wan and Tung Chung North Park will be extended to January 29.
