Ping Shek mobile testing set
The Government has arranged for a testing agency to set up a mobile specimen collection station at Ping Shek Estate to provide free COVID-19 testing services.
It said it is very concerned about a number of COVID-19 confirmed cases reported recently in Lam Shek House at the estate.
The mobile station will be set up at Ping Shek Plaza near Yuk Shek House and will tentatively operate until January 3. It will open from 2pm to 8pm on December 30 and from 10am to 8pm from December 31 onwards.
Meanwhile, the Government has decided to extend the service period of the mobile specimen collection stations at Heung Sze Wui Street in Tai Po, Sha Tsui Road in Tsuen Wan, Wong Tai Sin Square, Tung Chung North Park and Wong Chuk Hang Recreation Ground to January 8.
The one set up at Lei Sang House of Lei Yue Mun Estate ceased operation today. The estate's residents and workers can receive free testing services at the community testing centre in Yau Tong Community Hall until December 31 tentatively.
Additionally, the mobile station at Hung Cheuk Lau of Kwun Tong Garden Estate will cease operation after tomorrow, while the community testing centre in Lek Yuen Community Hall, Sha Tin will provide free testing services to Lek Yuen Estate residents and workers until January 1 tentatively.
The community testing centres operate daily from 8am to 1.30pm and from 2.30pm to 8pm and provide booking as well as on-site registration services.
For mobile specimen collection stations, testing agencies will provide specimen collection services by combined nasal and throat swabs for free testing.
People subject to compulsory testing and undergo testing at mobile specimen collection stations will be deemed to have undergone a test at a community testing centre.
