Mobile testing station opens
The Government has arranged for a testing agency to set up a mobile specimen collection station at the Sau Nga Road Playground in Kwun Tong to provide COVID-19 testing services from today.
The station was set up after a number of COVID-19 cases were recently reported at United Christian Hospital. The station provides free testing service for the hospital’s workers, visitors and patients.
It will tentatively run until December 31 and operate from 10am to 8pm.
Testing agencies are providing specimen collection services by combined nasal and throat swabs at mobile stations in various districts.
People subject to compulsory testing and undergo testing at mobile specimen collection stations will be deemed to have undergone a test at a community testing centre.
Those whose test results are negative will be informed by SMS.
People with a preliminary positive result will be referred to the Department of Health’s Public Health Laboratory Services Branch for a confirmatory test.
Confirmed cases will be followed up and announced by the Centre for Health Protection.
