The identity of residents and their COVID-19 test records were checked on site during a joint enforcement action conducted today at Ming Yan Lau of Jat Min Chuen in Sha Tin concerning a compulsory testing order, the Home Affairs Department said.

The department made the clarification in response to some residents’ claims that they had not been checked for the deep throat saliva tests results in the operation conducted by the Sha Tin District Office.

It said records of Ming Yan Lau residents who have undertaken deep throat saliva tests and with negative test results have been made available by the Department of Health for cross-checking. The district office has successfully checked some of the residents' records during the operation.

The district office thanked Ming Yan Lau residents for their co-operation which enabled the smooth enforcement of the compulsory testing order.
