Travel bubble further deferred

December 1, 2020

The Hong Kong-Singapore Air Travel Bubble (ATB) will be deferred to beyond this year due to the recent developments of the COVID-19 epidemic in Hong Kong.

The governments of both places will review the arrangement for 2021 late this month.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government said that after the deferral announcement on November 21, the two governments have been closely monitoring the epidemic situation in both places.

They decided to further defer the launch of the ATB given the epidemic situation’s severity in Hong Kong with the number of local cases of unknown sources increasing rapidly.

Travellers who have already made bookings on designated flights for this month can contact their airlines and adjust their itineraries.
