Catering subsidy scheme to end

The application period for the Catering Business Subsidy Scheme under the third round of the Anti-epidemic Fund will end on November 12, the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department said today.

 

Eligible licence holders of general restaurants, light refreshment restaurants, marine restaurants and factory canteens in operation wishing to apply for the subsidy should submit applications before the deadline.

 

As of November 5, the scheme has received about 13,000 applications and disbursed more than $300 million in subsidies since it opened on October 13.

 

The department said it will process applications as soon as possible to disburse the subsidy to eligible licence holders promptly.
