National security hotline launched

Police announced that its National Security Department has set up a reporting hotline today for citizens to report non-urgent national security-related matters through various platforms, including WeChat, SMS and email.

 

Police said that the hotline is solely for receiving intelligence related to national security such as information, photos, audio and video clips. It will not give any replies or be answered, and is not used for making general reports.

 

People can make a report by calling a nearby police station or 999.

 

Police will not collect personal data or provide any information to third parties. All data collected will be strictly handled in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
