Storm signal downgraded

The Hong Kong Observatory has downgraded the typhoon signal from No. 8 to No. 3, as Typhoon Nangka moves away from the city.

 

Typhoon Signal No. 8, issued at 5.40am, was replaced by Strong Wind Signal No. 3 at 7.40pm.

 

The Hospital Authority said three people sought medical treatment at public hospitals during the typhoon period.

 

During the storm, the 1823 Government Call Centre received 17 reports of fallen trees.

 

The Home Affairs Department opened 22 temporary shelters in which 109 people sought refuge.
