Ann Hui’s war film to be screened

Our Time Will Come, a movie about the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, will be screened for free on November 7.

The Film Archive will present a free screening of Our Time Will Come on November 7 as part of the Cine Memories of the War of National Resistance programme.

 

Based on a true story, the Ann Hui-directed movie features a school teacher, played by Zhou Xun, who makes the resistance against the opponents during the Japanese occupation a part of her daily life.

 

Free admission tickets will be distributed at the information counter of the archive starting October 7 on Mondays and from Wednesdays to Sundays from 10am to 8pm.

 

Each person can receive up to two tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

In view of the latest COVID-19 situation, special admission, ticketing and seating arrangements will be implemented for the screening.

 

The film is in Cantonese with Chinese and English subtitles.
