Auto parking site opens for tender

September 30, 2020

The Government today invited tenders for a short-term tenancy of one lot of Government land at the junction of Hoi Shing Road and Hoi Kok Street in Tsuen Wan for implementing the first automated parking system (APS) pilot project.

The Transport Department is taking forward six APS pilot projects to acquire and consolidate experience in building, operating and managing different types of APSs and the associated financial arrangements, thereby paving the way for wider application of APS in government and privately operated public car parks in the future.

The tenancy period of the Tsuen Wan site is a fixed term of five years and thereafter monthly.

The successful tenderer is required to erect, construct and install an APS in the form of a puzzle stacking system within 12 months from the commencement date of the tenancy so as to provide at least 75 automated parking spaces out of a total minimum of 245 parking spaces on the site under the tenancy agreement.

The tender invitation will close at noon on October 30.
