HOS flat prices adjusted

September 15, 2020

The Housing Authority announced today that new and rescinded flats under the Sale of Home Ownership Scheme Flats 2020 (HOS 2020) are for sale at 60% of the assessed market value.

The authority’s Subsidised Housing Committee had earlier approved the average selling prices to be provisionally set at a 37% discount from the assessed market value.

It also approved the adoption of the median monthly household income figures of non-owner occupier households for April to June to determine the finalised selling prices, taking into account the change in the economic climate arising from the COVID-19 epidemic.

The latest Census & Statistics Department information showed that the median monthly household income of non-owner occupier households for the period dropped 5% as compared with January to March.

The authority stated that the average selling prices of the HOS flats to be sold have now been finalised at a 40% discount from the assessed market value and the selling prices of the flats will range from 1.17 million to 4.89 million.

Four new developments, providing 7,047 flats, are for sale under HOS 2020. They are Kai Cheung Court in Diamond Hill, Choi Wo Court in Sha Tin, Kam Chun Court in Ma On Shan and Shan Lai Court in Fanling.

A total of 18 rescinded flats previously put up for sale under HOS 2018 and additional rescinded flats from HOS 2018 and HOS 2019 as identified up to about one month before the commencement of flat selection have also been included for resale in this sale exercise.

The application deadline for HOS 2020 is 7pm on October 7.
