Customs today launched an official WeChat account to provide information on vehicle clearance at land boundary control points for the cross-boundary cargo transport industry and private car and coach drivers.

Details of the latest clearance arrangements, special clearance reminders as well as points to note for importing and exporting commodities will be available on the platform.

Drivers can use the WeChat mobile application to scan the account's QR code to obtain the latest information.

The department will inform Road Cargo System users of the account's launch. Promotional leaflets will also be distributed to cross-boundary drivers at land boundary control points.

SMS and email channels will continue to be used to convey the latest land boundary control point clearance information to Road Cargo System users.
