Storm signal downgraded

The Hong Kong Observatory has downgraded the typhoon signal from No. 8 to No. 3, as Typhoon Higos moves away from the city.

 

Typhoon Signal No. 8, issued at 7.40am, was replaced by Strong Wind Signal No. 3 at 11.10am.

 

During the storm, the 1823 Government Call Centre and the Leisure & Cultural Services Department received 48 and five reports of fallen trees, while the Drainage Services Department confirmed two flooding cases.

 

The Hospital Authority said seven people sought medical treatment at public hospitals during the typhoon period.
