The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating 69 additional COVID-19 cases, of which 65 are locally transmitted and four are imported.

Of the local cases, 32 are related to previous ones and 33 are those with unknown sources of infection.

The centre’s Communicable Disease Branch Head Dr Chuang Shuk-kwan told reporters at a press briefing this afternoon that two Indonesian domestic helpers were among the newly reported confirmed cases.

She said the pair had stayed in a boarding house in Tsuen Wan with another helper who was confirmed to have the virus earlier.

Additionally, the Hospital Authority reported that 857 confirmed COVID-19 patients are currently hospitalised and 3,295 confirmed and suspected patients have been discharged.
