More COVID-19 deaths recorded

The Hospital Authority today announced that four COVID-19 patients have passed away, taking the number of such patients who died in public hospitals to 63.

 

A 79-year-old male patient, admitted to Caritas Medical Centre on August 3 due to fever and subsequently transferred to Yan Chai Hospital on August 6, succumbed at 1.04am.

 

A 91-year-old female patient, admitted to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital on July 23 due to fever, succumbed at 1.40am.

 

A 78-year-old male patient, admitted to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital due to underlying diseases on July 29, succumbed at 3.47am.

 

Also, a 93-year-old female patient, admitted to Tuen Mun Hospital on July 29 due to cough, succumbed at 10.05am.

 

All of them had chronic diseases and their conditions deteriorated after being hospitalised.

 

The hospitals concerned will offer necessary assistance to the deceased patients’ families.
