The Land Registry recorded 7,576 sale and purchase agreements for all building units for registration in July, down 8.2% from June and up 18.7% year-on-year.

The total consideration for sale and purchase agreements dropped 1.4% from June to $69.3 billion, representing a 28.4% year-on-year increase.

Of the agreements, 6,133 were for residential units in July, down 12.2% from June and a rise of 27.6% compared to the same month a year ago.

The total consideration for residential units was $59.5 billion, down 8.2% compared with June and 35% higher than July 2019.

There were 467,756 land register searches last month.
