CSSA max rent allowance to rise
The maximum rent allowance under the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme will be increased from July 1, the Social Welfare Department announced today.
A single beneficiary can receive up to $2,475 per month in rent allowance, compared to the current maximum level of $1,945.
Families under the scheme can receive a maximum of $4,370 to $7,675 per month, up from the current $3,915 to $6,820.
Additionally, the income limits for the Old Age Living Allowance (OALA) under the Social Security Allowance Scheme, including the OALA under the Guangdong and Fujian schemes, will also be increased on the same day.
