The Government recorded a $10.6 billion deficit for the year ended March 31.

Expenditure was at $607.8 billion and revenue at $590.9 billion, resulting in the deficit for the period after receipt of net proceeds of $7.8 billion from issuance of green bonds under the Government Green Bond Programme and repayment of institutional notes of $1.5 billion.

Fiscal reserves stood at $1.1603 billion as of end-March.
