Police today said they are highly concerned about a case of suspected criminal damage by a police officer.

Police explained that the officer in question is accused of damaging some articles during an anti-crime patrol operation at Tung Chau Street Park in Sham Shui Po on February 24.

 An officer in suspected connection with the case has been immediately interdicted.

Police stressed that any breach of law or offence against discipline by police officers is not tolerated, adding that the case will be followed up in a fair, just and impartial manner.
