Transport complaints down in Q3

The Transport Complaints Unit received 7,314 complaints and suggestions in the third quarter of the year, down 18% on the previous quarter and a 1.1% decrease compared with the same period last year.

 

Most were related to public transport services (88%), enforcement matters (9%) and traffic conditions (1%).

 

Cases on public transport services dropped 20% from the previous quarter to 6,471 and those on traffic conditions decreased from 164 to 132.

 

Road maintenance cases decreased from 21 to 19, while complaints about illegal parking and other enforcement matters rose from 614 to 667.

 

The unit completed investigations into 8,489 cases during the period.

 

Government departments and public transport operators accepted 12 suggestions to enhance public transport services and improve traffic.
