The Labour Department will hold a job fair for the middle-aged and elderly at Lok Fu Place on October 3 and 4.

Twenty-eight organisations from the property management, catering, retail and other industries will offer more than 2,200 vacancies.

Positions include clerk, aviation security officer, petrol station operator, health worker, receptionist, security guard, driver, waiter, beverage assistant, chef, technician, sales associate, cashier and cleaner.

About 77% of the vacancies are full-time jobs with salaries ranging from $10,000 to $17,000 a month.

Most positions require a Secondary 6 education or below and 78% are open to those without relevant work experience.

The job fair will be held from 11am to 5.30pm.
