The Government today announced the appointment of Kwan Chuk-fai as Chairman and Raymond Chan as Vice-Chairman of the Community Investment & Inclusion Fund Committee.

Twelve people will join the committee while five serving members were reappointed.

The 12 new appointees are: Amy Chan, Alan Cheung, Alan Chow, Fan Ning, Amy Fung, Vivian Lou, Yanice Mak, Francis Ngai, Anthony Wong, Joanna Wong, Wong May-kwan and Wong Wai-kit.

Mr Kwan and Mr Chan's appointments will take effect from May 1, while those of the new and reappointed members are effective April 1.

Their terms of office will last until March 31, 2021.

Secretary for Labour & Welfare Dr Law Chi-kwong welcomed the appointments, saying the new members come from a wide range of sectors that demonstrate cross-sectoral collaboration.

He thanked outgoing Chairman Lam Ching-choi and the nine outgoing members for their contribution in developing the Community Investment & Inclusion Fund.

The fund promotes social capital development through mutual support in the neighbourhood and community participation.

The committee handles funding applications and advises on the fund's administration.
