Peach blossom tree recycling urged

February 12, 2019

The public can deliver peach blossom trees intended for disposal to designated locations from February 18 to 25 to help reduce and recycle yard waste.

Making the appeal today, the Environmental Protection Department said the public should remove decorations on peach blossom trees before sending them to designated locations, including 37 public refuse collection points, six outlying islands transfer facilities and the EcoPark in Tuen Mun.

For commercial and industrial organisations, such as property management companies, they have to deliver peach blossom trees to the EcoPark.

The peach blossom trees collected will be recycled into useful materials, such as mulch and compost, to conserve resources and reduce waste.
