Jao Tsung-i expo opens

An exhibition on Prof Jao Tsung-i’s academic and art publications is being held at the Hong Kong Central Library to commemorate the life and achievements of the Chinese studies master.
The exhibition is co-organised by the Hong Kong Public Libraries of the Leisure & Cultural Services Department and the Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole of the University of Hong Kong, with the support of the Jao Link.
Prof Jao's publications on various subjects in academic and art research, as well as calligraphy, manuscripts and offprints will be on display, along with works by Mainland and Hong Kong scholars on the professor's studies.
Three talks conducted in Cantonese about Prof Jao's new approaches to painting and calligraphy, life wisdom and theory development will be held at the Central Library between October and December.
Four bookmarks featuring Prof Jao's work "Four Screen Lotus" will also be distributed for free to members of the public during the exhibition and the talks.
The exhibition will run until February 26. Admission is free.
