Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Kong-wah expressed sorrow today over the death of Prof Liu Yi-chang.

Mr Lau said Prof Liu was a master of Chinese literature and had a lifelong devotion in promoting Hong Kong literature.

“Generations of local writers have benefitted from Prof Liu's contributions.

“His passing was a great loss to the cultural sector. He will be remembered fondly.”
