The Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe will perform the Palace of Eternal Life next month to open the Chinese Opera Festival.

Known as a grand epic of Chinese opera, the play will be presented in four chapters from June 14 to 17 at the Cultural Centre.

Talks and a meet-the-artists session conducted in Cantonese or Putonghua will be held for the programme.
