Port advisors appointed
The Government has appointed six new members to the Maritime & Port Board.
Ten incumbent members and eight institutional members have been reappointed.
They will serve for two years from April 1.
The six new members are Angad Banga, Veronica Fung, Wellington Koo, Kenneth Lam, Timothy Lee and Clarence Leung.
Incumbent members Agnes Choi, Patrick Fong, Bjorn Hojgaard, Kwok Kwok-chuen, Rosita Lau, Li Lian-jun, Andy Tung, Elsa Yeung, Frankie Yick and Gerry Yim will stay.
The eight reappointed institutional members are the Container Terminal Operators Association, Liner Shipping Association, Sea Transport & Logistics Association, Shipowners Association, Shippers' Council, Institute of Seatransport, Trade Development Council and Vocational Training Council.
Secretary for Transport & Housing Frank Chan welcomed the new members, adding the Government will work with the industry to further consolidate Hong Kong into a major maritime services hub.
He also thanked outgoing members David Cheng, Paul Chan, Xiang Ge-bing, Michael Goh, Sean Kelly, Venus Lun, Iris Mak, Jimmy Ng and John Rae-Smith for their contributions.
