The Labour Department has launched several services to help Asia Television (ATV) employees after it was announced by the broadcaster's liquidator that its staff would be dismissed.
The department has started processing applications by ATV employees for ex-gratia payments under the Protection of Wages on Insolvency Fund.
The department has been contacting the provisional liquidator and advising them to provide work records on the employees.
The department has set up the hotline 2654 1429 for ATV employees. Special counters have also been set up at its Job Centres.
The department will hold a job fair at its Tsuen Wan Job Centre on March 22, where broadcasting-related vacancies will be available.
