Secretary for Labour & Welfare Matthew Cheung says the Government is concerned about ATV staff not being paid since November.
He told reporters today that the Labour Department is seeking legal advice from the Department of Justice and will institute prosecution if there is sufficient evidence.
Labour Department officers have been in daily contact with the ATV management, reminding them of the obligation to pay outstanding wages to staff, he said.
Noting that the management will pay half of the salary for November, Mr Cheung said it is not sufficient, adding the station must pay all outstanding wages according to the law.
