Customs officers have arrested 39 people and seized two million illicit cigarettes worth $5.3 million, and with a duty potential of $3.8 million, in a two-week citywide operation that concluded yesterday.
                                                 
                                                The Customs & Excise Department said the operation has disrupted the supply chains for illicit cigarettes in Hong Kong for the Lunar New Year holiday.
                                                 
                                                Thirty-two men and seven women, aged between 23 and 81, were arrested.
