Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing congratulated Hong Kong athletes for winning four more medals at the 17th Asian Games in Incheon today.
Cyclist Cheung King-lok won bronze in the Men's Omnium event, while swimmers Stephanie Au, Camille Cheng, Siobhan Haughey and Rosanna Sze won bronze in the Women's 4 x 200m Freestyle Relay, both a Hong Kong first in these events.
"Hong Kong athletes have excelled themselves and fully demonstrated sportsmanship by winning the first medals in these events at the Asian Games and gaining glory for Hong Kong," Mr Tsang said.
Wushu athlete Geng Xiaoling won silver in the Women's Changquan event, and fencers Au Sin-ying, Karen Chang, Jenny Ho and Lam Hin-wai won bronze in the Women's Sabre Team event.
Mr Tsang urged Hong Kong athletes to keep striving for excellence.
