Live Mainland chicken imports will resume tomorrow, the Food & Health Bureau announced today.
It said 6,800 live chickens and 1,500 live pigeons will be imported tomorrow.
All live poultry to be supplied to Hong Kong has passed avian influenza tests and obtained health certificates issued by Mainland authorities.
The bureau said it will collect tissue and blood samples from the poultry at Man Kam To Control Point for tests to reduce the risk of avian flu entering Hong Kong.
