3 new infections monitored

The Department of Health is examining three more cases of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome reported to the World Health Organisation by Saudi Arabia.
 
The first two patients are a 45-year-old man who fell ill at the end of May, and a 68-year-old woman who came down with symptoms on June 6. Both are in critical condition.
 
The third patient was a 46-year-old man who became ill on May 29 and later died.
 
It brings the latest global number of confirmed cases of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome to 61, including 34 deaths.
 
No human infection with this virus has been identified so far in Hong Kong.
