2 test negative for H7

From noon yesterday to noon today, the Centre for Health Protection received notification of one suspected human case of avian influenza A(H7), and one case which did not meet reporting criteria. Both tested negative for the virus.
 
The suspected case involves a 67-year-old woman who visited Guangdong. Her condition is stable.
 
The case not meeting criteria involves a three-year-old girl who visited Guangdong. Her condition is also stable.
 
This brings the total number of notifications since March 31 of cases fulfilling reporting criteria to 23, and those not fulfilling reporting criteria to 85.
 
No confirmed human cases of the virus have been recorded so far in Hong Kong.
