Secretary for Innovation & Technology Nicholas Yang called on the Ministry of Industry & Information Technology and the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) before concluding his Beijing visit today.
Mr Yang met Vice Minister of Industry & Information Technology Huai Jinpeng.
Mr Yang said the Mainland and Hong Kong will strengthen exchanges and collaboration on innovation and technology under the Belt & Road Initiative, the Internet Plus plan, and the Made in China 2025 strategy.
He then visited the CAC and met Deputy Director Zhuang Rongwen.
They agreed to strengthen collaboration on cyber security and the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship.
