CE meets Fujian official

Chief Executive CY Leung met CPC Fujian Provincial Committee Secretary You Quan at Government House today.Mr Leung said the new Hong Kong-Fujian Co-operation Conference platform and the bilateral economic, trade and financial co-operation agreements signed this year have enhanced exchange and development between the two places.
Noting the country has made Fujian the core region of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and announced the establishment of a pilot free-trade zone in the province, Mr Leung said it shows the important role Fujian plays in national development.
Hong Kong, being an international financial and trade centre, can enhance co-operation with Fujian and act as a super-connector to bring mutual benefits, he added.
