International affair:  Chief Secretary Carrie Lam attends a luncheon co-organised by the Singapore Institute of International Affairs and the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in Singapore.

CS concludes Singapore visit

Chief Secretary Carrie Lam concluded her Singapore visit today by meeting Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong to boost economic ties between Hong Kong and Singapore, and between Hong Kong and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
 
Mrs Lam briefed Mr Goh on Hong Kong's latest developments.
 
She also called on the acting Minister for Social & Family Development Chan Chun Sing to exchange views on measures to help people and families in need.
 
Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Social & Family Development Chan Heng Kee briefed Mrs Lam on measures implemented by the Singaporean government to tackle the widening income gap and to help people in need through working with different sectors of the community.
 
At a luncheon talk co-organised by the Singapore Institute of International Affairs and the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in Singapore, Mrs Lam spoke on socio-economic issues faced by Asian economies from a Hong Kong perspective.
