CS backs CE’s property clarification

Chief Secretary Carrie Lam said the Chief Executive’s statement on his property on the Peak clarifies the issue, and it does not involve integrity issues.
 
Speaking to the media today, Mrs Lam said the Chief Executive has admitted his negligence and she hopes the matter could be brought to a close as soon as possible. He must focus on administrative matters, and prepare a policy address, she added.
 
She noted the Chief Executive had kept his promise as he explained the matter immediately after legal proceedings ended, and his explanations were detailed. He would be happy to respond if lawmakers, media or the public still have queries.
