The newly renovated Correctional Services Museum will reopen January 29, and souvenir keychains will be given to visitors during the first five days of its relaunch!
Be sure to visit the museum to learn more about Hong Kong's penal history from 600 historical documents and photographs. The museum's main building has 10 galleries with a mock gallows, two mock cells and a mock guard tower.
The annex introduces correctional and rehabilitative programmes and displays products made by prisoners.
You can see Tai Tam Bay scenery from a 200-square-metre platform in front of the museum.
It is open 10am to 5pm daily, except Mondays and public holidays. Admission is free. It is accessible by bus routes 6, 6X, 63, 73, 260, 973 and green minibus routes 40 and 52. Call 2147 3199 for details.
