The Coroner has ruled an investigation by the Police should be conducted on the deaths of the Hong Kong tourists slain in Monday's hostage tragedy in Manila, it was announced today.

The Coroner has also made eight orders to perform autopsies on the eight bodies.

Upon receipt of the Police investigation report the Coroner will then decide whether an inquest into the deaths should be held.
