A total of 140 fixed-penalty tickets and 118 summonses were issued to road users violating traffic regulations in an operation in eastern Kowloon yesterday.

Nearly 200 pedestrians were cautioned for jaywalking and other minor offences. Another 157 fixed penalty tickets were issued for parking offences.

In the first seven months of the year 1,110 traffic accidents occurred in eastern Kowloon.
