Customs and Marine Police officers have arrested six men and seized $1.44 million in unmanifested seafood in Tung Chung.

Officers swooped on the smugglers before dawn today while they were transferring the goods from two lorries to a local fishing vessel. The haul included 48 cartons of lobsters, 45 cartons of abalone, 87 cartons of geoducks and 15 cartons of oysters.

The seafood was imported to Hong Kong from Australia, the US and Canada by air.
